A Bologna, dunque, si parlerà tanto di sport, ma anche di quanto preziosa sia la vita e di come i comportamenti scorretti rappresentino un pericolo per se stessi e per gli altri, quando si è al volante.

ANAS AND FIDAF JOIN FORCES FOR ROAD SAFETY
ANAS to support the FIDAF with the organization of the U19 European Championship while it promotes the “When you’re driving, JUST DRIVE” road safety campaign.
The U19 European Championshipbrings more than sport to Bologna. Thanks to a partnership with ANAS, the FIDAF also has an opportunity to promote an important public campaignfirst launched by the State Railways Groupcompany in collaboration with the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure and the State Policein 2015. The “When you’re driving, JUST DRIVE”slogan was created to draw attention to the problem of distracted drivers and raise public awareness about road safety.
“Like all sports federations, the FIDAF encourages people to practice a sport that teaches how to enjoy a healthy lifestyle based on the values of respect for rules and your opponent plus attention and concentration, all of which are essential to performing well in sport,” said Leoluca Orlando, the FIDAF President. “The FIDAF has always been involved in lots of initiatives that put people’s lives first, so being able to have ANAS stand with us during this European Championship while capitalizing on this invaluable opportunity to promote such an important public campaign gives us as a federation yet another reason to be proud of what we do.”
To help get the “JUST DRIVE” message across to young people in particular, ANAS has also organized a music contest and invited young artists to write brand-new songs that talk about road safety. 2019 marks the second edition of the contest and this year’s winner was a duo called Punto.Exe, a.k.a. Rocco Velucciand Christian Di Lena. These two young rappers from Tolve, in the province of Potenza, will perform in Piazza Minghettiat 9 p.m. on Sunday, July 28, during the U19 European Championship Opening Ceremony.
And there’s more: when the European Championshipfinal is held on Sunday, August 4, ANAS will also present the #LaVitaVale(Life is Precious) initiative promoted by Davide Cucchi, the father of Valentinawho was killed by a hit-and-run driver in 2014. A new smartphone app called #LaVitaVale is currently in the experimental phase. The #LaVitaVale app is designed to warn pedestrians and let them know when vehicles are suddenly speeding towards pedestrian crossings.
So, we will talk a lot about sport in Bologna, but it is also important to discuss how precious life is and how unsafe behavior can be a danger to ourselves and to others when we are behind the wheel.
